Wise JetSearch 1.3

Wise JetSearch is a free search tool that allows you to find files and folders in your PC. This small app could be a good replacement for the search utility that comes with Windows, as it works fast and has the advantage of demanding very little system resources.

The application is simple enough and searching files with it is really easy. After selecting the hard disk to scan, which can be a USB drive, all you need to do is enter the name of the file or folder you want to find and click a button. The app supports wildcard search, so if you don't recall the exact name of a file/folder, you can search by extension or partial name replacing the missing letters with asterisks or question marks.

When the search is complete, the app puts at your disposal a few handy options to deal with the found files/folders. With a right-click, you will be able to open or delete any file, look up its properties, copy its full path to the clipboard, etc. If the list of the found files is extensive, you can sort them according to their attributes like file name, path, file size, or date, which should help you locate any file/folder faster. Moreover, if you activate the Quick Search feature, the app will place a small window on top of the screen to start a search without needing to open the main app window.

As mentioned before, the application is free (no ads, no nagging screens), easy to use, and works as expected. One thing to point out, though, is that during installation, you will be asked to download additional software from the same developer, so be sure to uncheck any unwanted extras.
